The Board of Crowley’s Ridge Technical Institute met Thursday evening prior to the school’s annual commencement ceremony.
Following a brief executive session, the board voted to name Debbie Feagin director of the CRTI Adult Education Program. Feagin is currently the ABE/GED testing coordinator, and will be replacing former program director Glinda Richardson, who retired earlier this year.
Board members also accepted the retirement of Sandra Taylor, CRTI Coordinator of Student Services.
The board voted to name Christy Jackson, current Special Projects coordinator, as interim business manager. While Jackson has assumed many of the responsibilities of business manager in the past two years, the school has not filled that position since the retirement of long-time business manager Ava Hankins in 2015.
In other business, CRTI interim president David Brown shared with board members the results of a recent audit of the school.
“We just finished an audit and got reports back on that. I am happy to say that, with the help of Christy Jackson who has taken over the business responsibilities, this is the first audit we’ve been through where we had no citations, so I want to thank her for her help and congratulate her on a job very well done,” said Brown.
