The annual Crowley’s Ridge Technical Institute’s Vo-Tech Barbecue is set for Friday on the school’s campus, and the large smokers that will cook more than 5,000 pounds of pork are being prepared. Mark Harris uses a wire brush to clean the surface on one of the smokers. Tickets are $8 in advance, and $10 after noon Friday. Drive-through service will be open from 4 to 7 p.m., and those eating on campus will be served from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Photo by Alan Smith.
