In the photo at left, Noah Crump of Moro competes in the youth duck calling contest held Monday night during the wild game dinner held at the Wheatley Civic Center. Eight youths, all 15-under, competed in the contest. The dinner and duck calling contest was sponsored by the Men In Loving Devotion (M.I.L.D.) Men’s Ministry. In the top photo, three-time World’s Duck Calling Champion Brad Allen (back row) served as the blind judge for the contest and was the special guest at the event. Other youths who competed in the duck calling contest, front row from left, are: Remington Hicks from Wheatley, Casen Walker from Wheatley, Brayden Bramley from Wheatley and Axel Davis from Forrest City. On the second row, from left, are: Hunter Tucker from Brinkley, Dalton Fleetwood from Palestine, Noah Crump from Moro, and Aubrey Forester. David St. John, far right, assisted Allen and emceed the duck calling contest. Tucker won the 12-under division, while Forester won the 13-under division. Crump and Fleetwood finished second in the respective divisions. Each of the contestants were awarded prize money depending on what place they finished.
