Fires at Rice and Mann complex late last night blamed on lightening
A late night storm Wednesday left over 700 Forrest City residents without electricity for several hours and caused a fire at a local public housing complex.
The Forrest City Civic Center Commission reached an agreement with D&R Catering on a contract that will keep D&R as the in-house caterer at the facility for the next five years.
Members of the St. Francis County Indigent Care Board approved more than $28,000 in bills to be paid to Forrest City Medical Center during a meeting held Wednesday at FCMC.
The explosion which claimed the life of a Heth man on Monday may have been caused by an acetylene torch, according to St. Francis County Sheriff Bobby May.
