Triple G to continue local parade tradition

The traditional Santa Claus float will make its return to area Christmas parades this weekend. The float, which is a tradition carried on by Crowley’s Ridge Technical Institute for years, will be continued by Triple G Excavating Inc.

Warren Faupel Center hosts Santa Claus, health screening

Area residents will have the opportunity to kick of the holiday season this weekend and promote a healthy lifestyle at the same time. The Warren Faupel Center on Saturday will host a day with Santa and Mrs. Claus, which will also feature free health screening.

State of the District

The second-most requested editorial subject from my readers this month, behind the city’s aquatic center boondoggle, was the state of the Forrest City School District and the quality of its leadership. Soles for Souls

Members of the local Delta Sigma Theta chapter are doing their part to help fight global poverty. The organization’s Forrest City Area Alumnae chapter is collecting gently used shoes to give to those in need in the community and around the globe.
