Summer is coming to an end for students in surrounding school districts, as classes for both the Forrest City and Palestine-Wheatley school districts begin on Monday, Aug. 14. With the new school year quickly approaching, officials with the Forrest City Police Department are encouraging both students and parents to review back-to-school safety precautions.
KIPP Delta Forrest City College Preparatory School will welcome back returning students on Wednesday, Aug. 9. The next day, on Thursday, Aug. 10, the school will host “bring a friend” to school day.
