Mr. Burl H. Downey, age 89, of Cabot, formerly of Forrest City, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2106, at the Cabot Health and Rehab in Cabot. He had been in poor health for the past two months.
Mrs. Elizabeth Adams, age 86, of Forrest City, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at St. Bernard’s Hospital in Jonesboro. She had been in the hospital for the past week.
Mrs. Billie Jean Rainbolt, age 68, of Forrest City, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at Crestpark Retirement Inn in Forrest City. She had been in poor health for the past year.
Morris Dukes, age 60, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016 at his home in Forrest City.
Deshawni Dione Townsend, age 2, of Forrest City, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. Deshawni, who was also affectionately known as Ma Bear, was born on Nov. 10, 2014 to Roderick and Alice Townsend.
Mary Alice Brown Washington, age 63, departed her earthly life on Nov. 29, 2016. Known to her friends as “Big Mary,” she was born on Feb. 10, 1953 in Maplesville, Ala. She was the first of 11 children born to Martha Brown Howard and Edward Sullivan.
Mrs. Leatrice Davis, age 81, of Widener, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at the Broadway Nursing Home in West Memphis. She had been in poor health for the past year.
Rev. Bob Parker, age 89, of Russellville, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Baptist Health and Medical Center. He was born June 11, 1927, in Palestine to Robert J. and Allie Jean Whittle Parker.
Mrs. Mildred Faye Brown Thomas, age 86, of Colt, died Monday afternoon, Dec. 5, 2016, at Crestpark Wynne.
Mrs. Retha McCurley, age 79, of Forrest City, died late Friday evening, Dec. 2, 2016, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born June 10, 1937, she was the daughter of Raymond Brown and Verna Lee Holman Brown. She worked at General Industries for 25 years and was a nurse at Crestpark Retirement. She was a member of the Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church in Forrest City.
