Capitol Christmas tree

Cole’s Christmas Tree and Vegetable Farm in Colt was selected for the fourth time to provide the Christmas tree for the Arkansas State Capitol in Little Rock. Dr. Robert Cole, owner and operator of the farm, said the 23-foot Leyland Cypress will be placed in the Capitol’s rotunda today. Jeremy Bemis, of Bemis Tree Farm in Little Rock, wraps the tree in rope to prevent damage to limbs during transport as other employees with Bemis and Cole’s look on.  Photo by Alan Smith.
