A pair of People’s Gardens have been planted in the courtyard of Lincoln Middle Academy of Excellence. Fifth and sixth graders at the school, helped by the St. Francis County Master Gardeners and SFC Cooperative Extension Service agents, will harvest the vegetables they planted, and the students should be able to enjoy a salad made from them by the end of the school year. Above, fifth grader Jaqualyn Lattimore works with SFC Extension Agent David Carwell on a plant. Photo by Alan Smith.
