Weekend blaze 6/18

A Saturday morning fire caused major damage to the home of Bill Runyan at 424 South Izard Street. Firefighters were called to the home at around 7 a.m. after it was reported that a fire had started in the basement. According to a Forrest City Fire Department report, 15 firefighters and eight fire department officers were called to the scene. The fire is believed to have been an electrical fire, but it is still under investigation. One firefighter was injured. Photo by Kendall Owens.
