Following the Christmas Holiday, the Forrest City Christmas Tree, on Izard Street has been stripped of all branches in preparation of removal. According to Ann Claire Vaccaro with the Downtown Revitalization Committee, the group purchased one fourth of a mile of lights for the tree and they got tangled up in the weather. "We had so many lights that were tangled that taking them off was a real hassle so we cut the branches and will deal with the tangled lights at a later date," said Vaccaro.
