Problems at Jail

St. Francis County Jail Assistant Administrator Larry Jones struggles with opening the door to the cell that houses inmates charged with misdemeanor offenses. Jones said the locks inside the jail are outdated and cannot be replaced, while those that are still in use are many times difficult to open. This picture also shows where workers have welded different types of locks onto the cell door in an effort to keep it secure.
