The Forrest City Aquatic Center has been completed and passed both state and local health inspections. According to Forrest City Mayor Cedric Williams, the city is close to opening the pool to the public. The city is planning an open house for both the Aquatic Center and the new city hall, but a date has not been announced. In the foreground is the therapy pool, with the recreational pool in the background. "The pool recently passed all of its inspections and we are looking to hire lifeguards," said Williams. "At this time, EACC is using the pool for some classes, and through them we are testing to see if everything is working correctly. We hope to have an open house for both the aquatic center and city hall at the beginning of March so the community can come out and see what we have been working on."
