Statewide mask mandate begins / After-hours Covid-19 testing at SFCHU

Minnie Hawkins follows directions from a nurse at the St. Francis County Health Unit to perform her own nasal swab for Covid-19 testing. An after-hours testing will take place from 4 until 7 today, but residents are also encouraged to make appointments with the SFCHU if they wish to be tested at a different time.

Local police are taking an educational approach before issuing tickets to people violating a statewide mask mandate.
The mandate took effect today following an executive order signed last week by Gov. Asa Hutchinson who said local police and sheriff’s departments will determine how to best enforce the order in their areas and how high a priority enforcing it should be....

The St. Francis County Health Department is hosting a drive-through coronavirus testing clinic from 4 to 7 this evening.
The test will be self-administered, the same as those that are available daily at the local health department and those across the state during normal operating hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
