Forrest City police officers responded to this accident at Saks on North Washington Monday morning where this car struck the building. The vehicle, driven by Shantnae Cousins, 27, of Forrest City, was traveling south on Washington when, according to Cousins, she blacked out and her vehicle struck the building. An employee of Saks told officers she saw the Impala traveling at a high rate of speed while headed south on Washington. She said as the vehicle approached the store, it appeared, to her, that Cousins was on the phone when the crash occurred. According to the report on file at the Forrest City Police Department, the crash caused structural damage to the store and about $2,000 in damage to merchandise. No injuries were reported in the crash.
