Pole down: About 300 electric customers were briefly out of power Saturday, after a power pole was knocked over in an accident between Caldwell and Colt, just off Highway 1. A spokesperson for Woodruff Electric Cooperative said the accident happened about 1 p.m. Most customers were back in service by 2 p.m., and the rest by 4 p.m., according to Woodruff. There is still some repair work to be done, but no long-term outages are expected.
