Finding a home: The Forrest City Area Humane Society held an adopt-a-thon Tuesday at the Forrest City Wal-Mart in connection with the national Go Orange for Animals Day. Go Orange for Animals Day is a day designated by the American Humane Society to educate the public on the prevention of cruelty to animals. Gay Schwartz, seated, with the FCAHS speaks to Elizabeth Anderson and her son John Anderson as they adopt two dogs John named Fred and Wilma. The FCAHS youth volunteers, called the Puppy Patrol, were also on hand selling orange flavored refreshments to benefit the local organization. Photo by Alan Smith
