Remembering their loved ones

Sistas and Others, a support group for families who have lost a child, did not let the cool temperatures or rain stop them from this pre-Mother’s Day event on Saturday. The potluck dinner and program were held inside Forrest City Medical Center, followed by a balloon release to honor their children. Razorback Rally

Arkansas Razorback football coach Bret Bielema was the featured speaker for the East Central Arkansas Razorback Club Rally and Banquet held Tuesday at the Forrest City Civic Center. The event drew more than 400 people. Bielema, who led Wisconsin to three straight bowl games, was named Arkansas’ 32nd head football coach in December.

Raising Relay funds

Cedric Williams’ State Farm Insurance office hosted a Relay for Life fundraiser today, serving hot dogs, nachos, drinks, candy and cookies. Prayer circle

Area residents traveled to the St. Francis County Courthouse this morning to observe the National Day of Prayer on the courthouse lawn.
