It’s Good Friday, and everyone is preparing for Easter Sunday. Trey Derrick, age 4, prepares for a sweet treat at a local day care this morning. Courthouse garden

Flower gardens are blooming all over St. Francis County, but few are more beautiful than the garden at the county courthouse. The garden is a project of the SFC Master Gardeners and is located at the south entrance. Sandy Puckett of the SFC Extension Service and a Master Gardener looks over the tulips. Open for business

The Kids Palace Restaurant is open for business inside the classroom of Margaret Williams at the ABC Preschool. Williams explains that teachers use the restaurant to teach children about nutrition, manners, ordering food and even leaving tips. Alzheimer’s awareness

Tips for officers 3/27

Law enforcement officials from across the state are in Forrest City this week for classes to assist them with working with Spanish-speaking individuals. Securing the building

Vandals struck Forrest City High School over spring break, causing over $5,000 in damage. The rear section of the campus had graffiti spray painted on the brick walls and nine windows broken out.
