The St. Francis County Master Gardeners hosted a group of Pulaski County Master Gardeners on Saturday. The local group hosted a tour of area projects for their Pulaski County counterparts and others from the Cross County Master Gardeners. Sistas and Others, a support group for families who have lost a child, did not let the cool temperatures or rain stop them from this pre-Mother’s Day event on Saturday. The potluck dinner and program were held inside Forrest City Medical Center, followed by a balloon release to honor their children. Area residents traveled to the St. Francis County Courthouse this morning to observe the National Day of Prayer on the courthouse lawn. Cedric Williams’ State Farm Insurance office hosted a Relay for Life fundraiser today, serving hot dogs, nachos, drinks, candy and cookies.
