Saluting champions: Forrest City School District maintenance employee Alfred Hutchieson, right, and Forrest City senior Xavier Jones spent Wednesday hanging championship banners in Mustang Arena. All total, the two hung eight banners representing the Forrest City boys basketball and track teams, as well as replacing the banner honoring the 1977 Mustang mile relay team that set the state record in that event, which still stands. The original mile relay banner burned in the fire that destroyed the old Sam Smith Gymnasium in March 1998. Photo by Fred Conley.
