Spooktacular: The Memphis Zoo’s Spooktacular made a stop at the Forrest City Public Library Tuesday afternoon. The theme of the visit was Halloween, and animals usually associated with the holiday were on display. One of the more popular animals on display was this barn owl, which was being handled by Megan Sier, a staff member at the Memphis Zoo. Golf honors: Forrest City Mustang golf coach Wally Rauth (left) presented season awards to three of his Mustang team members, continuing from left, Chance Pearson and Matt Howton, who shared the annual Mustang Award, and Baker Aldridge, who was named the Rauth Award recipient. “The Nerd†this weekend: April Williams, standing, contemplates dumping a bowl of food over Jason Ring’s head after one annoyance too many, during a rehearsal for “The Nerd,†a comedy by Larry Shue. The play will be presented by the East Arkansas Community College’s Drama Department on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., in the EACC Lecture Hall. As an extra attraction, during the presentations, art work of EACC students will be displayed in the lobby of the lecture hall. The charcoal and mixed media drawings were completed by Drawing I and Drawing II students enrolled in the fall art classes at EACC. Admission to the play is $5, and free with an EACC student I.D.
