Fire at oil mill: Three Forrest City firefighters work to extinguish a blaze underneath a conveyor on Friday at Planters Oil Mill. According to the fire department, a bearing on the conveyer system apparently went out, and caught some cottonseed lint and other residue on fire, which in turn caught the conveyor belt on fire. There was only a rough estimate of from $5,000 to $7,000 in damage. Photo by David Nichol.
