The Forrest City Police Department received a tip today regarding the possible location of Christopher Davenport, who escaped the St. Francis County Jail on Monday evening. FCPD detectives and patrol officers followed up on the tip where they found Davenport hiding in the attic in a residence along Farley Street in Forrest City, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Members of the FCPD Criminal Investigation Division, Street Crimes Unit and Patrol group were instrumental in the capture of Davenport. Following his capture, Davenport was turned over to Arkansas State Police and U.S. Marshals, where he will be taken to a holding facility.
