Forrest City Medical Center earns award

Forrest City Medical Center recently earned an award from Arkansas Medicaid and the Arkansas
Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) as part of the annual Inpatient Quality Incentive (IQI)
program. FCMC was recognized for its dedication of consistent participation of 10 or more years
in the IQI program and for its efforts toward improving the health of Arkansans. Through a
partnership between Arkansas Medicaid, AFMC, and the Arkansas Hospital Association, the IQI
program was developed in 2006 to assess quality of care through the ways in which hospitals
provide medical care to their patients. Forrest City Medical Center has participated in the IQI
program for 18 years. Pictured during the award presentation, from left, are: Chief Nursing
Officer Eric Simmermon, Chief Quality Officer Angie Vondran, Clinical Abstractor Diane Lee and
Chief Executive Officer Robert Rupp.
