Several public meetings
are planned for this week
across St. Francis County.
The St. Francis County
Quorum Court’s budget
committee will meet at 4 p.m.,
followed by a meeting of the
full court at 5 p.m.
The Court will consider
asking voters to allow the
county to continue collecting
a one-half cent sales tax once
the jail bonds are retired later
this year.
At 6 p.m., the Forrest City
City Council is scheduled to
meet at city hall. According to
the agenda, the council will
consider the purchase of a
new ladder truck for the fire
department.
The Palestine-Wheatley
School Board’s monthly
meeting is set for 7 tonight.
That meeting will be held in
the library on the high school
campus.
On Thursday, the Forrest
City School Board is
scheduled to meet at 5:30
p.m., in the library on the
junior high campus.
The board will consider
the contract for
superintendent Dr. Tiffany
Hardrick, according to the
agenda.
