The St. Francis County
Extension Service will host a
pair of private pesticide
applicator training courses
over the next couple of
months.
The training sessions are
scheduled for Tuesdays, Feb.
11 and March 11, at the St.
Francis County Museum,
located at 603 Front St., in
Forrest City.
The classes will begin at
9:30 a.m., and there is a $20
cost to attend.
“Now is the time to be
checking your PAT license to
see if it expires this year. If it
does, please come to a class to
renew your license. If these
times don’t work for you, reach
out to our office and we will
help you find one that does,”
said Sarah Stone, SFC
Extension Agent-Ag.
Stone also said production
meetings are scheduled for
February and March.
“Come listen to and talk to
the specialist in row crops at
our county’s production
meetings,” said Stone.
The corn and cotton
meeting for St. Francis, Lee,
Phillips and Monroe counties
will be held at the Lon Mann
Research Station in Marianna
on Thursday, Feb. 20,
beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The rice and soybeans
production meeting for St.
Francis and Monroe counties
will be held on Thursday,
March 6, beginning at 8:30
a.m., at the Brinkley First
Baptist Church.
“It will be a morning full of
updates from the end of last
year and an outlook at what’s
to come,” said Stone of the
meetings.
